Heat exchangers for heat recovery

For residual heat recovery, we use heat exchangers that transfer residual heat to cold air streams (gas/gas heat exchangers) or heat exchangers that transfer residual heat to cold water or thermal oil (gas/liquid heat exchangers). The composition of the flue gas determines what material the heat exchanger is made of: metal or polymers. For corrosive or highly polluting flue gas, we opt for a polymer heat exchanger.

An air preheater is a gas/gas heat exchanger that recovers heat from flue gases, baking fumes or drying air to efficiently preheat process, drying or combustion air.

Economiser

Heat recovery at high flue gas temperatures

An economiser is a gas/liquid heat exchanger that recovers heat from flue gases, exhaust air from a dryer or oven/furnace to heat liquids for the primary process. It works optimally with flue gases above 150°C.

Heat recovery at low flue gas temperatures

A condenser is a gas/liquid heat exchanger used from 80°C with flue gas or drying air. It condenses water vapour and recovers both sensible and latent heat at relatively low temperatures.

Profitable rooftop heat recovery systems

The Roofbox is a modular gas-liquid heat exchanger that is easily placed on the roof. Installation requires minimal process interruption, and roof load is calculated in advance. The system is scalable.
