Recently, we shared a blog about our joint journey toward lekker werken: the framework in which we build more job satisfaction and a future that is healthy, inclusive, and sustainable. Today, we take the next step on that metro line: making our work smarter and more enjoyable with the help of AI.
Last week, we introduced Nova, our internal AI assistant developed together with the team at Datacation. Nova is available to everyone at Heat Matrix and Bos Nieuwerkerk — from production and engineering to assembly and sales — and helps us capture and share knowledge more effectively.
Technology that empowers craftsmanship
At Heat Matrix and Bos Nieuwerkerk, we believe that technology should help people move forward. Artificial intelligence can play a valuable role in that: it can simplify work processes, make tasks more engaging, and even add a bit of fun. Think of automated inspection reports, a central knowledge library, or data-driven insights that strengthen projects.
Nova brings these possibilities into practice. Employees can ask her questions on a wide range of topics, such as:

• safety, quality, environment, and certification
• knowledge transfer and internal processes
• HR information, including our collective labour agreement
Nova not only provides answers — she continuously learns as well. The more we use her, the smarter she becomes. This way, our shared knowledge base grows and remains accessible to everyone, including future colleagues.
